Why this match?
Barcelona have fans all over the world. Celta’s strongest support comes from Vigo and the wider region of Galicia.
The clubs are not traditional rivals, but Barcelona had to work hard to win the last two times they hosted Celta.
In April 2025, a Borja Iglesias hat-trick helped Celta take a 3-1 lead at Montjuïc, where Barcelona were playing while Camp Nou was rebuilt. Barcelona fought back, and Raphinha’s 98th-minute penalty completed a 4-3 win.
The next meeting, back at Camp Nou, produced only one goal. A Lamine Yamal penalty gave Barcelona a 1-0 win.
Barcelona will start as favourites, but they needed a penalty to win each of their last two home meetings with Celta.

What matchday is like
On the walk to Camp Nou, Barça shirts and scarves are everywhere. The atmosphere builds as more supporters fill the streets around you.
Once you reach the lower Tribuna, you can watch the players warm up near the touchline and try to spot your favourites. It is also a good time to take photos before the match begins.
As kick-off approaches, supporters hold up their scarves and sing the Cant del Barça. Then attention moves to the pitch. Barcelona are the favourites, but the last two home meetings with Celta have shown why the crowd cannot relax too soon.
A Barça goal brings everyone to their feet. You celebrate with the people around you, even if you have never met them before. That shared moment is what makes seeing the match at Camp Nou feel different from watching it on a screen.
